I am thinking of becoming a developer, and a discount benefit comes up in the legalese, without being specific of the $$$ amount.

It varies depending on the product.

There is no more hardware discount with the new $99 program. The former ADC programs are closed to new enrollments.

The discount is variable for the Student, Select and Premier members in the old program.

For lower end items, generally you'd get a better deal buying elsewhere online where there is no sales tax.

Really? That blows! Oh well, it's been a long time since I was in a position to make that worthwhile...

Of course a membership used to cost $999 if I recall, so really anything for $99 is a good deal. I guess.

One could never save $900 on any mac so the reduction is the real discount.

I'm a bird. I am the 1% (of pets).

It was $499 for Select, and $3499 for Premier.

$1759 for ADC members which is a pretty good discount for a brand new model. Not that it matters to you since you can't sign up for it anymore.

No one is allowed to sign up for ADC anymore. That program is over. Current members will have to sign up for the new Mac Developer Program when their ADC membership expires.

$440 off $2200 for a minimum $499 membership (which is not available any more). Hmm... not really a great deal even if you could still get it.

The Student Membership was a great deal. I was taking some graduate courses, paid 99 bucks for the student membership and got $400 bucks off of my previous 17 inch macbook pro.

Sad to see ADC go, but $99/yr is pretty awesome.
