We are going on a cruise to AK and stopping in Juneau. We want to get up to see the ice caves on the Mendenhall glacier. I found a website describing it here:

Juneau Alaska visitor information and adventure travel guide

I found a bus that goes from the docks to the visitor center, but I haven't found a way to get up to the trail head. Is there anyone from Juneau or that has done this that could help me out?

Here's a map. The trailhead is up on Skaters Cabin Rd.

thanks!
