10pm on Comedy Central. No, it's not the straight-to-dvd-movies re-divided into episodes. Yes, it seems like all the old voice actors are participating.

I wasn't too impressed by the first two episodes, but based on them I'm hopeful for future episodes. I guess I'm a harsher critic than most. Futurama works better in 22 minute form than in movie form, and I'm happy to say that that still holds true. And don't get me wrong, these episodes show a lot of promise that the show can return to the high quality levels it previously achieved at its new home on Comedy Central, but these episodes weren't quite as strong as I hoped. The second was better than the first, though. Futurama needs to get away from the melancholy of much of the movie material and get back to unique adventures and quirky character-driven plots.

I thought they were pretty funny. I'm just glad to have it back on air. Definitely one of my favorite animated shows of all time.

I thoroughly enjoyed both episodes, the Professor was killing me at the start of the first one.

I killed myself laughing at the end of the first one. It was a bit like the end of Bende's Big Score, but I just thought it was really cute. It's strange to actually see Leela finally admitting she loves Fry though.

My favorite part (of both episodes) was the V'GINY reference to Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

First episode was better than the second, but it's off to a good start. I'm no longer worried that it will suddenly start sucking.

I thought the ending of the first episode was perfect. They lull you into thinking this will be yet another Fry/Leela love story, but instead it was two robots in love with eachother.

"Why did their voices change?"

Hilarious.

The first 2 episodes were great. The first one was based on Cylons/Caprica/Battlestar and the second one on Vger from Star Trek the Motion picture. They know how to suck up to us geeks!

I wouldn't go so far as terrible, but it was a big step down.

Making fun of Apple and the Apple Store is soooo tired right now. Same goes for Social Media. We get it, social media is dumb.

The part about e-waste seemed to be playing for that environmental award they always try to win. The Apple parody was pretty tired, although they did manage to squeeze the reception issue in there!

I liked the joke at the end about the eyephone 2.0, but the rest of the episode was very meh.

In the first episode where the robots rip off their skin and suddenly get Terminator accents was the funniest thing I'd ever seen on the show

At least those things are still popular. The Nappster episode was about 4 years after Napster disappeared. This is pretty much par for the course.

Between the 9 month lag time on animation and FOX holding episodes so long they went into new seasons, not sure Futurama is to blame there.

(Also, the episode aired in mid-2001 during Napster's final days)

Oops I guess I meant 4 years ± 4. I remember it seeming super dated when I first saw it. I don't imagine this will be the final year of the iPhone hype though.

Well my first run through on Futurama (save a few random episodes) was on Adult Swim, which aired closer to your 4 year range.

So what did you think of it then? Funny or dated? Or were you just in a trance thinking about liu-bots and monroe-bots?

I thought the eyePhone stuff was funny enough... but then I'm a futurama apologist. I guess in a room full of Apple apologists I shouldn't expect a good reception

I can't say I really remember. Well enough, I imagine, as I was in a mild awe with Futurama's quality then.

As for the new episode, I do wonder if the anti-Apple slant bothered me, but why would I care? I don't even have an iPhone.

The simpsons really made all the fun you could of the apple store and Mr Jobs a couple years ago. Didn't watch the new futurama yet though but hopefully it isn't tired.

Tonight's was okay. I liked the parody of the Yes on 8 commercials.

I'm a bit confused though. In the first couple episodes, it was clear Fry & Leela had become a couple. In the last two though, they seem to be back to being "friends", with little explanation as to why.

I was excited at first to see the show resurrected, but this season is a bag of hurt.

I think once she slept with Zapp to save Earth, it was kinda over at that point.

Did anyone catch this week's evolution episode? I expected to be groaning and rolleyesing throughout, but I found myself laughing a number of times. I give it a thumbs up. I always like it when farnsworth is impotently mad at something...

It wasn't like the Proposition Infinity episode, which dealt with the political aspect. Instead we basically got Cybertron/Transformers ("This is a cool way to die!").

I really wanted to see their make-shift spaceship fly, however.

So far my favorite episode is the Da Vinci one.

Animatronio is just downright hilarious.
