In Faulty-Computer Suit, Window to Dell Decline - Yahoo! Finance

Dell sells computers to University of Texas Math department. All the computers up and die. University of Texas complains to Dell, and Dell tells them they shouldn't 've used the computers for doing math.

UTexas should have run with the statement. Take out advertising in the Round Rock newspapers, and quote them. Then interpret.
Dell recommends accountants not use Dell computers. Dell Marketing was contacted for this report, but they declined to say who they recommend instead.

Ol' Mike is gonna kick some serious butt when he figures out which ones he needs to target. First there's QC that let dozens, if not scores of faulty computers out the door (were these built in Round Rock, in Tennessee, or somewhere else?). Then there's the marketing folks who actually said this stuff.

Dell CAN make good computers; I've had several. But with all their technical expertise, they seem to have over-geeked the design end while under-smarting the marketing end. And somewhere in between is a QC department made up of people who now should worry about making their mortgage payments...because the only thing they controlled about quality was not letting any out of the factory.

And Mike needs to write to Dr. Cigarroa and apologize profusely for his morons workers being so lame. And then ship him some computers that work.

Dell’s quality control has been hit and miss for a long time.
