I think there's a de-stupidifier extension for Safari that just outright blocks YouTube "comments".

I made one called simpleTube but I haven't submitted it to Apple's extensions gallery or released it yet.
Back on topic, I can't imagine how sore that lady's face it. I agree, I think she should've been rushed to the hospital for brain scans.

It's a reality tv show. I think what we are seeing is this...
Girl gets hit by watermelon. Reality.
She is given prompt medical attention. Most likely hours pass.
The producers coach both girls on what to say.
They spray the brunette in the face to make it look like no time has passed.
Cameras turn back on.
They say their lines (poorly) and boom, a viral commercial is born.

Fake! was my immediate thought as well... the conversation afterwards was 100% fake. Obviously scripted and poorly acted.
But I don't know. Who knows. I'm not going to waste a lot of time thinking about it. I give the actual watermelon in the face a 50/50 shot at being reality. It has a lot of mass... but it would shatter and dissipate the impact. I just don't know.
I smell a Mythbusters episode...

Have y’all never eaten a watermelon that has been out in the sun for a while? The “shell” softens up a lot, and is more forgiving.
That said, at that speed, it still looks like it HURT… a lot.

Certainly a mix of real and fake. A real accident that the show then used to generate huge PR. "You've got to finish, that why it's the Amazing Race" poorly scripted add on after they had checked the woman was OK.
