Well, if I understood what other people implied, he was already skirting a ban.

Or maybe it was because he used "u" instead of "you" in one of his posts.

I honestly have no idea what his banning history was or anything, but if Rob can skirt a ban, surely Cubeoid can too? It is hard to comprehend him having a similar sort of history with people in here that Rob has had over many years, although Rob has been forgiven. Why not Cubeoid as well? He seems pretty harmless to me...

To me the partisan ranting of BadKosh is pointless, the Anna Benson and other threads we have enjoyed from Abe in the past were pointless, and the sexy girl thread is pointless... Point being, this is a slippery and undefinable precedent to establish that when enforced is always going to be debated by different people for different reasons.

Cubeoid's presence here was not pointless to me, or else I wouldn't have bothered to have created this thread.

Also, several of us clearly got a lot of enjoyment from his Busytown thread... Enough so that several of us (five, including Cubeoid) even made sigs on this theme.

Fair enough, although I hope we all eventually realize that we can't all lobby to have MacNN accept/deny certain people and certain policies while expecting that the results will all be the same. I'm not saying that you are lobbying here, but I will congratulate you for endorsing the ignore feature
