If by chance you are considering going to see Skyline in the theater .... don't. Just don't. It really is that bad.

That bad, eh? I was thinking about waiting to see it when it comes out on YouTube next month, but figured it might more be fun to pay too much for a movie ticket, buy outrageously over-priced popcorn, and sit in a bed bug ridden theatre instead. But now I'm not so sure.

Is it 2012 bad?

2012 was waaaaaayyyyyyy better than Skyline. The ending was the biggest WTF moment I've had in a movie in years.

Yeah a WTF moment is an understatement. Overall it felt like a small scale big budget movie. It all seemed like a local invasion, instead of a world invasion.

I liked Cloverfield.

I've seen the trailer for this, it looks somewhere inbetween Independence Day and Transformers, maybe a bit of Terminator Salvation.

Basically big robots and monsters.

Look after my manor, or I will bum you, literally, to death.

It sucked. And they've already said they are going to make at least one sequel regardless of how bad this does (did!) and will finance it themselves.

I liked Cloverfield as well, at least you moved through out the movie, and had a sense of scale. This one was an alien invasion in a penthouse, for the most part.

Cloverfield greatly exceeded my expectations.

As for Skyline being terrible, all I have to add is "duh'
