Would have been nice if the old bookmark had automatically redirected. But oh well. All I care about is the latest releases and the most popular releases. And the new layout shows me that quite easily. So it'll do for me.

I don't actually remember the old layout much.

For this, the search should be right there with the "most popular" etc tags. It's what I do first and tucking it up there in the top right with login and help is not good UI. I'd also like some kind of categories (games, office, photos, etc) available somewhere for when I don't know what I'm searching for but I'll know it when I see it.

It looks like the old versiontracker now.
Bush Tax Cuts == Job Killer
June 2001: 132,047,000 employed
June 2003: 129,839,000 employed
2.21 million jobs were LOST after 2 years of Bush Tax Cuts.

I hate the new style...pretty but sluggish. I don't need eye candy, I need easy access to seeing what's new or updated.

Are there any alternatives to MU (please don't mention CNET / aka old Versiontracker).

Yes. Not bothering to update anything. Works for me!

You could also block some of the content - the top and bottom sidebars are annoying to me, so I blocked them. I usually don't like blocking ads on Mac specific sites, but this one was too much. I do like the new mouseover that has the download right there for you.

I'm fine with it, except it doesn't seem to wrap well. I keep getting the horizontal scroll bar, and my browser window is already 1100 pixels wide. I shouldn't have to hit 'maximize' just to accommodate an abnormally wide page.
