Mobile advertising network Millenial Media announced
today (01/13/2011) that the Android OS has surpassed
Apple’s iOS as the leading smartphone OS on its network.

I am somewhat surprised by this but the story can change
after Verizon's iPhone 4 kicks in...

Your thoughts?

Why do I care which smartphone has a bigger share of Millenial Media's advertising network?

Doesn't Apple use iAd and not MobAd for mobile advertising?

Your thoughts?
How does it surprise you.....

1 Company VS the world?

iOS Devices

World Wide Manufacturer - Only Apple with 4 Models, 2 active

North America Distribution
- AT&T
- Verizon (Coming Soon)

- Telus
- Rogers
- Fido
- Bell

Android Devices
World Wide Manufacturers - HTC, Motorola, Acer, Alcatel, Bluelans, Cheery Mobile, CSL, Dell, Garmin, GeeksPhone, General Mobile, HIghscreen, HKC, Huawei, iMobile, Kogan, Kyocera/Sanyo, Lenovo, LG, Meizu, Nexian, Pantech, Qugi, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Vibo, Videocon, ZTE, and each with more then one model easily over 100+

North America Distribution
AT&T
Verizon
T-Mobile
Sprint
+ 100 smaller US cell carriers with Android phones

Fido
Bell
Telus
Rogers
Videotron
Wind
Mobilicity
Virgin
+ Subbrands and other carriers

And the fact that iPhones don't even work on a few of the networks like T-Mobile, Wind, Mobilicity because they are HSPA 1700

Its a pure numbers game.

Jeff ******* says (9:19 AM): Eww, Ottawa is gross. It's infested with politicians, and presently, 1 Harper as well.
