According to this article:

iPhone 5 lessons from the iPod nano Apple boom - Computerworld Blogs

Apple's Mac sales have been experiencing a massive expansion ever since the first quarter of 2005.
I began my Apple-related career working for a reseller in February of 2005. It therefore seems clear to me that while Steve Jobs is getting all the credit, there is a clear and undeniable correlation between Mac sales soaring and myself working in the Apple sphere.

Apple owes me big time....

Or the thousands of Apple products that have sold due to me, working in IT for years and converting people from PC to Mac.

Yes, but did you start doing this in Q1 2005?

Otherwise you have no leg to stand on and are just trying to steal my thunder.

bstone wins - Apple's real comeback started in 1997. The MS-Apple PR stunt at MacWorld Expo where people falsely believe "MS saved Apple with much needed cash" was the catalyst.

Perhaps bstone did save them from ruin, but I made them a stellar success.

I hear that Apple used to have some sort of individual seller program or some such, but it was closed down a long time ago. I only learned about it when they closed it down. I could have made a cool million from this program. Anyone know what it was called or any details?

I first started visiting this forum in 2001. Think about it.. 10 years of ad revenue for MacNN, which they use to spread the word on how great Apple is.

No big deal.

The now tens of thousands of Apple related products my school district has bought for the past 25 years as an all-Mac district.

I bought an iMac (actually pre-ordered) on August 15th, 1998. It's been uphill ever since.

I've been here since April of 2001 myself. As for ad income, they don't tell us about anything like that. We think we do a good job keeping folks visiting, and the front office hasn't told us otherwise; that's about it. And considering how often the ad placement people do something silly with the ads the put on our pages, I wouldn't call our forums a cash cow...

Meh. All you guys are newbs.

I was responsible in increasing Apple II sales in education, as I helped push our school to purchase this computer in the 1980s.

I am still waiting for my cut, for Apple education hardware and software revenues.
