But they're just soooooo fluffy !!
If you let them outside your house, you're contributing to the problem.

There's not a day that goes by that the cats aren't depositing some dead critter on our doormat, sharing with us. It's very thoughtful of them, I think.

They think you suck so bad at hunting if they don't give you birds, you'll starve.

Since cats have been domesticated and are allowed to roam/hunt the neighborhood I think this isn't a "natural" problem but one that's been exacerbated by humans. What I mean is, if humans didn't domesticate cats there would be a lot fewer in the wild to kill everything.

Since cats are an invasive species, brougt here by humans, who wouldnt have gotten here naturally, it is not nature.

Cats are probably second only to humans when it comes to predation. Without our fancy tools they'd be number one easily.

Also, we only think we domesticated them. They enslaved us.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

It's important to get your cat spayed or neutered. That way if it ever goes ferral or interacts with ferral cats, they won't propagate and exacerbate the situation.

I find it easier to deal with than what the tens of dogs deposit on my lawn every morning.

If I were to let my pet camel spider rampage around the neighborhood; shitting on people's landscaping, tearing up peoples gardens, shitting in people gardens, waiting under blue bird houses to kill babies when they fly out for the first time... Not to mention destroying species diversity for the expense of just my pet. What would people do? What would you do? hmmm...
Awww isn't my fluffy cute!!

just don't make my baby freak out. You could get cutie scratch fever.

Native ones or invasive ones?

I wonder how many native species native birds are putting on the endangered list, or to extinction.. vs non native ones.

I hate camel spiders...used to catch them and make 'em fight but they are GNARLY. Excellent way to illustrate a point, reminds me of the "endangered species list" that mostly includes things we like (e.g. cute fuzzy things) more than things we don't like though things that are probably more beneficial to mankind.
