Need some advise from the smart folks on here about streaming movies. My Onkyo home theater receiver can stream from Netflix's. So can my Oppo blu-ray player. Problem is that I don't like either UI. Would spending the $100 bucks on a Roku make any difference in selecting movies? I realize that none of you has seen my system UI so I guess what I am asking is that is the new Roku 3 so good that it pretty much blows everything else out of the water?

Thanks for the help

From what I've seen in my friend's Roku2 is that the UI is very similar to the interfaces you'd get on the video game consoles (Xbox, PS3, Wii).

Using Netflix with a browser, or any of those Netflix ready devices (blu-ray players, etc..) is always vastly inferior to the game systems or a Roku. For the most part, certain features (like 5.1 audio) isn't even available on anything other than the higher end devices.

If you have an iPhone, iPod Touch or an iPad, I'd think about getting an AppleTV.

What's great about that combo is you can use the iDevices as a remote control for it.

A remote control keyboard. No more cursor based text input.

AirPlay is pretty sweet too.
