I think "solar panels" would be the English phrase you want, though they mean slightly different things.

Edit: scooped!

Over here, "photovoltaic" is an adjective, "photovoltaic cell" would be the noun.

Are you asking about for home power? An electric grid supplement?

I built a home with the less sexy and lesser known "passive solar" design, so I use relatively small amounts of energy and get nice heating from sunlight in the winter. I would love to add some active solar power in a grid tie system at some point. The state I live in only reduces your electric bill when you feed into the grid, doesn't pay for more input than use.

Play Food Fight! available free on the App Store! (NO DON'T... iOS7 broke it. I'll take it down soon. Bugger.)
Or how about a really weird (or stupid) game: Nesen Probe, it's also free.
