Jag-u-ar in the UK, Jagwar in North America, but Jagwire absolutely nowhere (apart from inside the deluded minds of computer company CEOs, and those sycophantic followers feeble minded enough to copy them)

Steve probably says 'Jagwire' to avoid a lawsuit from Ford.

Being a "Jagwar" man, I always hated hearing the "Jagwire" pronunciation. However, it almost sounds cool when Steve says it...

concerning the Ford car...in the commercials (even here in the states), they pronounce it Jag-oo-ar. As far as Jagwar vs Jagwire, it probably depends on your accent....or where you come from in the States....or anywhere else in the world.

Any educated person with a common Australian, UK, or American accent (and no speech impairment) will pronounce it either Jag-u-er, Jag-u-ah, or Jag-war.

"Jagwire" is... well, dumb really...

how ever you say it, it still sounds better than the "big fat yellow fury cat with spots on, nasty sharp claws, and very large teeth upgrade".

And while we are on the topic of English speaking nations and spotty cat skins what about the look and feel of the spotty animal skin theme?

Well for me the animal skin just screams Bet Lynch.

I guess you have to have lived in the UK through the 70's & 80's.

Mac OSX. The Bet Lynch of operating systems.
Not exactly 21st century.

third picture is a classic.

That will keep Ford away.

BTW; The Jag theme on Apples' page is kind of pimp style I think. Makes sense with the new .mac thought..

Apple have trademarked Apple (I think) but an Apple is still an Apple.

But you are not allowed to sell apples using Apples font and style.

Same with Jaguar as long as apple did not use the style that goes with the car all is fine..

Cheers Edwin

(p.s. This could be slightly different in America where all laws are designed with lawyers not justice in mind )

I could post a new poll: Does anyone think the new Jags look like Miata's? Ever since Ford purchased them...

I know it's Jag-war, but I voted for Jag-wire because I find it funny Is SJ known for mispronunciations? It's such a distinctive difference I almost suspect it is deliberate.

Yeah, Jags look like Miata's big brother. Both such nice cars
