Can anyone tell me if it is possible (and give me instructions) how to dial into a Mac OS X computer, from another Mac, or from a Windows machine....

Is it possible? How is it done? I know you can do it in OS 9.....

The only solution that I'm currently aware of is the the PPP server on Apple's list of Darwin projects. I've not tried it myself, but might have to soon, if nothing better comes out. I downloaded it some time ago and had a quick look at the files.

I think you'd need to be a bit of a Unix expert to get it installed and running successfully.

Oh, what a big pile of rectal waste.

Damn it, I want to dial-in! And I am no Unix expert!!!!!!

So my only option is to boot into OS 9?

Bah!

I've not done much with it, but it is possible to do file sharing over the internet. Select "Connect to server..." in the "Go" menu, type in the comuter's IP and click connect. (I think I got that right, I'm sitting at a windows box...)

Oh, and file sharing must be set up to do this in the System Preferences.
