No matter what I search for on my hard drives it finds THOUSANDS of items. Items I know there are only one of. I get the beach ball and it just goes and goes. It appears to be completely brokent since 10.2.3. It doesnt matter what search word I use, it doesnt stop. I can narrow it down to just one partitian and what it appears to do is "find" every file on that partitian.

Whats going on here???

It searches whatever drive is selected. If you want to narrow it down, select your home directory, or the directory you think the file to be in.

Actually, I love search, it's fast, simple and very convenient.

It USED to search whatever drive is selected. Now it is broken. If I put in any word, say one that doesnt exist, if I have 1000 items on a hard drive it will come up with 1000 finds. Its brokent with the update

UPDATE: I just did a repair permissions and the problem has been fixed!
