At the last MacWorld Keynote, Steve Jobs demonstrated something with Rendevouz and iTunes where you could share your playlists so that you could share songs and they would automatically stream across the network peer-to-peer. I remember him demoing this on-stage and the songs would appear and disappear automatically.

With the recent aquisition of a new iBook and my existing PowerMac G4 1GHz, I decided to try this and found that I couldn't figure out how to do it. There are no obvious options in the menus, and it didn't happen automatically.

Both machines are running 10.2.3, are on the same home network, and have iTunes running.

Does anyone know how this works or how to implement it?

Thanks.

Not coming until the next version of iTunes. Early next year? Maybe.

Are you sure? Steve demoed it during the July 2002 Keynote and I thought it was part of iTunes 3, Jaguar, and Rendevouz.

When Steve demoed it he stated that it would not be available until sometime in 2003

"Early" 2003 to be more precise. I'd expect to see it at MWSF.

Sorry....I was going to watch it again, but I couldn't find the link for the keynote. Would you happen to have the link?
