Hey-
Lemme make this quick.
Powerbook G4 500-512-30
Just reinstalled Jag (10.2.3)
iCal will bounce a few times, then stop. It never actually starts up. Any ideas?

I had the same problem, you have to make sure that the HelveticaNeue.dfont is in your library fonts folder ! I had that problem after I installed a font manager which moved all my fonts to a different folder...

Hope this helps

does isync work? isync and ical are somehow tied together, if isync won't start, then ical won't either...

Did you actually re-install iCal, or just run an old copy of the application? You have to actually run the installer package, since it installs frameworks and things that it won't work without.

hey, I had to do a reinstall also and found that iCal was not installed. I copied it and it behaved the same as yours.

the cause:
two frameworks were missing. (!?)

i happened to have a backup and copied the two frameworks into /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks CALCore.framework and DAVAccess.framework from the Terminal.

Afterwards it worked, the missing frameworks were indicated in the console output.

Both installations were done from scratch. When I checked my application folder I found iCal to be missing after 10.2 was done one.

iCal is not part of Mac OS X 10.2 - it has to be downloaded and installed separately.
