This is just weird, but when i leave my mac running but with no apps open the sound level goes to zero. So when i touch the mouse or any key to activate the system and thus remove the screensaver the first thing i notice is that the sound level indicator in the top right of my screen shows that the volume is set to zero i.e muted.
I never noticed this in 10.2.2 or previous builds for that matter. Has anyone else suffered this and if so is there a fix.
I have a G3 600 iMac.
Thanks in advance.

Due to insomnia i've been sitting at my mac and whilst a long download was underway i was reading a book, then a funny thing happened. When the screensaver activated itself and i clicked the mouse to bring my screen back i noticed that the volume had muted itself again. So i changed the screensaver from a Terminator 3 promo back to one of Apples own then waited for the screensaver to activate itself moved the mouse and bingo the sound level was as i left it.
So the problem was with the T3 screensaver.
Why would a screensaver do this? I ran a virus check (i'm English and cautious) which came back clean.
Is this a common problem i'm intrigued but now drowsy.
