How do I get rid of that annoying Mouse Pinwheel and replace it with something that looks better?

I'm sure this question has been raised a dozen times before, if you can direct me to a link, I'd appreciate it.

There are a few apps that do this. There is beachball,Blobber and I am sure there is another but I can't remember it's name. A warning though, non of these apps have been updated for 10.2.3, so there is no guarantee they wont damage the OS
