Wasn't sure in which forum to post this item!
While MacNN is, like many - but by no means all - forums, American based, it nevertheless is subscribed to by users in many other countries. It would be much less confusing if the international standard method for displaying the date were adopted. Some Americans use this format on the internet, most don't. While I appreciate that most Americans are probably unaware that there is any other way of doing it other than the "American Way" it would be both courteous and helpful to fall in with international practice.

Go start your own international Mac forum and set the dates anyway you like. I like them the way they are, though I'd prefer an option (not default for others) for 24-hr time.

It should be a user definable item. All posts should be referenced off of GMT that way everyone can relate to time from a central reference which is completely accurate but present time in a local context.
