Hi, I'm trying to change my 'home' icons like Movies and Music etc. but when I try to past the new icon by:

Going to new icon, get info, click on icon, copy. Then going to folder, get info, clicking on destination icon and pasting. It doesn't work.

Also, when I havve successfully done this using a new folder I can only change the icon once, after this is won't change.

What am I doing wrong? Please help.

Thanks

I don't know the answer to the first part of the question, but I would also like to know. To the second part, in order to change the icon more then once you need to delete the first icon before you paste a new one.

The answer to your first question is that unless you are a serious hacker you have to download CandyBar from versiontracker to change system icons, as they are hard coded into the system. As for the second question, I usually have to restart to change icons a second time, deleting the icon doesn't usually allow me to repaste a new one. It's a bug, not a feature.

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.
