Anybody else notice this? I have it on a Gigabit Ethernet Ti667 and I notice my fan on far less than before. Seems to run cooler, but I'm wondering if it's cood enough to justify no fan. Are there any apps to monitor temperature on a G4 PowerBook?

I think you may be right. I have the new TiGz and the fan is so quiet I don't really notice if it on or off most of the time, but I really do think it may be running less. I wonder it it's true. They could have updated the program or firmware or whatever that controls it to make it kick on less. My computer seems nice and cool still though.

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

I think you might be right. It seems like my Ti800 DVI runs much cooler as well. The fan definitely comes on less. I have not noticed this either, I usually know when it comes on a lot, not when it is quite. I like it so far.

No, there's no way they snuck a firmware update into an OS update.

Wow! You are almost as rambling as I am! At least we are both happy!
