Hello everyone,

This is with a PB G4...

I am having a problem when I output my display to a television. The picture does not traverse the entire screen. There is a black border left around all of the edges. This happens in both mirrored and un-mirrored modes.

Anyone have any ideas,

You should be more specific on what you are trying to do.

Are you trying to diplay a DVD on the TV?

If so, is it playing OK on the PB monitor?

Yes, this is the correct behavior. To eliminate the black border, you need to operate in "overscan" mode, which expands the picture to slightly beyond most televisions' physical borders. Mac OS X does not currently support NTSC overscan output via S-Video or composite video.

Thank you, Piracy. Is this a limitation of OS X? In other words, could there possibly be a 3rd party product that overcomes this?

OS9 has the overscan facility...and I really hoped 10.2 would bring that facility to X as well...

Maybe 10.3, it can't be THAT hard to implement, can it?
