I cannot recall if I asked this question here already:
What is I.E.'s problem...?
(Oh... and please... no need to boast about Chimera, Navigator, Omniweb or any OTHER browser... I'm only interested in hearing about the reason or solution to THIS issue... Thanks)
Okay... if I drag a .PNG file into I.E... it says it's an unsupported file. Fine. I go into the prefs and tell the browser HOW to handle .PNG files. I apply the changes... YIPPIE! It works!...
Until... I quit the browser and relaunch. It NEVER remembers the changes no matter HOW I try to implement them.
NOW I REMEMBER...! I DID post the question here before, but the only response to the issue was asking me if I had OTHE M$ apps running when I.E. quit, thus preventing the prefs to be written correctly... but this is not the case. I have even gone so far as to make IE the ONLY thing running... make the changes... make sure it works... quit... relaunch, and it's back to it's old ways.
Is this a "known issue"...?
I'm really getting tired of having to force IE to display them.
OH! By the way... it's only for .PNG files NOT embedded in HTML. If the image is being displayed via HTML, it always displays correctly.
Thnx (in advance) for any insight
