Anybody have success making an OS X Boot CD?

I'm getting errors on my system with Norton Systems works and I can't fix it b/c the drive is the boot drive.

I'm on the road until mid January and would like to try and burn an OS X boot disk with Norton Disk Doctor on it to repair my drive.

No luck so far. . . any ideas?
If there were no God, it would be necessary to invent him.

Norton SystemWorks comes with a bootable CD. You should keep it with you in case of emergencies like this, especially when travelling abroad.

You can also perform repairs when booted from OSX's own OS Install CD by choosing Disk Utility from the Installer menu.

If you want to make your own custom bootable OSX CD, you should use BootCD. Norton's tools will not work from one of these home-made CDs. You will need to use the original CD for that.
The server made a boo boo. (403)
