When I am in editing mode in vim, I cannot use the cursor keys. I remember there is a fix (that I have applied on my OS 10.1.x install). But it's a do-it-once-and-forget-it thing. Anyone can give me a hint?

Off the top of my head:

put 'set term=ansi' into your .vimrc

this could be totally wrong.
