Has anyone installed VPC 6 yet?
Is it 25% faster as claimed?

In general, I would say YES - maybe it depends on the hardware you use. I have a G4 867 what means Quarz extreme is running. 10.2.3 is essential for the speed increase...

DP 1GHz Quicksilver w/1GB RAM, 256 allocated to VPC running VPC6 with WinXP under 10.2.3 here. It's definitely more responsive than VPC 5, but I can't say it's 25% faster. I'd only rate the speed increase as marginal rather than significant. Gets the job done for me though.

Put it this way, before it was a 2 legged dog, now it's a 3 legged dog.
I wait for the day this dog has all it's limbs.

VPC5 is noticably faster on 10.2.3, apparently you don't need 6 to gain that speed. The boost was only from the OS.

VPC 5 is quicker on 10.2.3 but VPC 6 is faster still.
I now feel that I'm back to the performance I had with VPC 2 on the original PowerBook G3 (Kanga). VPC is now usable for me on a TiBook 667.
