While installing the documentation from the developer tools CD, the installer crashed, and after this, every time I run an installer (Apple's own installer or InstallerVise - I haven't tried any other), it asks for an administrator's passphrase as usual, I type it, then it quits (sometimes it crashes).

What's happening? How can I fix it ?

I'm using MacOS X 10.2.2

You could first of all try to trash the com.apple.installer.plist and com.MindVision.InstallerVISE.plist preference files (and, maybe, other similar preference files), located in ~/Library/Preferences, in your home folder; repairing the startup disk's privileges through Disk Utlity could also help...
