MacMatt, What Adaptec driver are you using? Does Apple System profile see your scanner?

In System Profiler, the Bus shows my Zip drive, my Yamaha burner and, catch this,my UMAX 1220S scanner is shown seven different times...only difference is the IOSCSI LUN number shows 1 through 7...

Under the Apple System Profiler's Extensions, I have listed:
Adaptec290X-2930.kext,
Adaptec29160x.kext,
Adaptec39160.kext,
Adaptec78XXSCSI.kext

It doen't make sense to me the Scanner's showing as 7 different scanners...but it works, so I'm not going to fret it.

try turning your scanner off for a few minutes, turn it back on, and restart. SCSI is a little flakey sometimes. My microtek with the 2930u adaptec card is working fine.

When I was running 10.1 my Mac also showed 7 scanners but now in 10.2.3 it shows no scanners I have the same extentions the only thing I can think of is I did try the Umax beta Magicscan software but it didn't work so I deleted it. Mabe it broke something. The scanner works fine in 9.2.2.
