OK, maybe I'm just too used to windoze but is there a way to print a selection of text? I like to use this feature on my XP box when I'm in certain webpages where I only need to print a snippet of text. I don't like printing a whole page or a couple of pages just to use a few lines of the document. I know I can copy it out of the browser and into Word or textedit, but I was hoping to avoid that extra step.

TIA
Josh

Yeah, there's no standard 'Print Selection' contextual menu.

If you're using IE, then of course Microsoft would be the one who has not added this feature to the program. You can complain to them.

If you're using Chimera (the best OS X browser), then I have almost-as-good:
1. Select the text
2. Select the menu item Navigator: Services: Make New Sticky Note
3. A new Sticky appears with the text. Hit Print.

Services are really cool if you start getting used to them.

No, Mac OS X does not do that by default; however, there is at least one shareware/freeware application which I am aware of which does this. It was featured on the MacNN main page about a month to a month and a half ago. You can also probably find it on www.versiontracker.com/macosx and do a search for it as I have forgotten the name.

DropPrint is a service that will add this. It's on Versiontracker- $5.
OS X: Where software installation doesn't require wizards with shields.
