I notice this has happened in some other apps, but especially this annoys me in Chimera...

say if I go to select text, the entire window moves! sometimes if I use the scroll bar, the same for that too. is there a way to keep this little baby stationary.

Preview, come to think of it, does this too.

Let me guess. You've hacked it to use the "brushed metal" textured interface, right?
The server made a boo boo. (403)

well, it's kinda a cool feature, that is, if that's what you want it to do. I assume if it was programmed to do this, there is also a way to control it. but I could be wrong.

if you get one of the newer nightly builds, I think they fixed that. I'm using it with a metal interface, and it doesn't do that grabby problem anymore

It's called Metallifizer.ape and it's in your home library in Application Enhancers folder.

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

Okay, so I fixed this with by getting all of the updated programs....

Metallifizer 1.1
http://www.unsanity.com/haxies/metallifizer/

Application Enhancer 1.2
http://www.unsanity.com/haxies/ape/

And the latest overnight download of Chimera 0.6.

Thanks everyone for your help.

http://www.chrisjdavis.ath.cx/chimerahacks/

This hack solves the bug issues that you were talking about. And it also rounds the edges of the location field.

right-click on the application and from the menu select package-contents navigate from the contents folder to Resources>English.lproj> BrowserWindow.nib. Command copy and command paste to replace the old files with the new classes.nib, info.nib, objects.nib files . Remeber if you replace this copy of chimera with a newer one then you'll have to repeat the process.

Great, but the favicon is now partly hidden and outside the location field. Any fixes to this?

I fixed it in Interface Builder. An updated verssion that shows the complete favicon is available Here . This is or aqua only, not metalfizer.

Looking good with complete favicon and rounded address field!
