Hi. I am started to get really long font lists in my apps (FCP, Word, etc.) and want a simple prog to check in and out fonts that works well with OS X.

Are there some programs that are the standards for this type of need today? I know Suitcase used to do this years ago... is that still the leader?

thanks for any comments and suggestions. fyi... I'm not a talking about hundreds of fonts here, just enough to make me want a better solution.

thanks!

i dont like any of the current OSX font management tools. I do use Diablotin tho. It manages library items (so you turn on and off fonts with ease). real simple solution and you can find it on versiontracker for free.

I'm still waiting to give adobe $99 dollars for the ATM osx version if it is ever released.

I like Suitcase. I really see no difference between that and classic ATM. ATM is dead, they aren't planning on an OSX version. FontReserve is OK. But I like Suitcase better. It's all a matter of preference really.

Suitcase doesn't suck terribly bad. It'll give you hell if you've got any corrupted fonts, but other than that, it works okay, except when Adobe products decide not to update their font.lst files. Which is frequently. (fix: delete everything with .lst in its name, reboot. )

It launches quickly, its interface is simple, you can drag and drop fonts onto it, and it doesn't eat processor cycles while it's idle, so in some ways, it's actually pretty decent.
