Hello! I'm trying to re-vanilla-ize 10.2.3, and the app I used for 10.2.0 (Sprocket d5) complains that there's no valid resource map for 10.2.3's Extras.rsrc.

It could be that Apple has actually messed with the Extras.rsrc file to discourage theme-makers, but I'm betting that it's just Sprocket having trouble.

Problem is, I can't find a good resource editor to take its place. Anyone have a recommendation?

(As an extra-added bonus problem, I have Iconographer 2.2, but mscape.com has disappeared off the face of the planet, so I can't download 2.4. What's up with that?)

I am fairly sure there is a program I saw on VT that resets hacks made to OSX, if that interests you. If you want to stick with a resource editor for X here is Resorcerer .

Is there no way to edit .rsrc files with ResEdit? I thought there was some program that would convert between formats.

I think you may have mis-understood "Re-Vanilla-ize" to mean reset to default. What I meant was that I had a theme for 10.2.2 called "Vanilla" that I'm trying to get back.

I'm downloading Theme Park 1.0b9, we'll see if that does what I want.

As for Resourcerer, if it had a Graphic editor for the UI elements, it might be okay; I don't really feel like editing them in Hexadecimal.

Thanks for your input, though!

Have you tried running your 'Vanilla' theme thru Themefur? That will make it ready for 10.2.3

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.
