Anyone experience lag times (beach ball) when sending messages in iChat? I never have this problem with other chat programs.

It happened to me after upgrading to 10.2.3. A restart would fix it

Yeah, you could improve the "waking up" performance a little by turning off Hard Drive Sleep and Computer Sleep option in System Preferences > Energy Saver. If you leave only Display Sleep, it will wake up instantaneously.

If you feel that your computer are slowing down (slow application launching, etc), you could download XOptimize. Even though the author said it won't be a necessity in 10.2, it is suggested that you need to prebind your system from time to time.
