The disk image files are a bit weird for these two updates; the images mount, copy some files, and then unmount, all automatically.
The iSync image produces a folder called "iSync Web Download" containing iSync.pkg and iSync_Palm.pkg, while the iCal image just creates an iCal.pkg installer.
Weird. I didn't even know that this sort of thing was possible!

Yea, same here. Very odd indeed. I'm not sure what to think about it.
I'm installing everything now...

Finally iCal doesn't quit when you close the window, like a proper bloody Mac app.
Oh and the date rollover at midnight now works as long as the app is open.

Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

I think Apple may have done this to make it easier for newbies to find software that they've downloaded. I think folks have trouble connecting the dots between the disk image file and the mounted disk image itself.
