I just reinstalled OS X in my iMac. I chose the option to wipe-out the HD and make it a UNIX based file system. No I want to reinstall OS 9.2.1 to run as classic but I can't figure out how to do it.

Any help?

Classic cannot be installed on a UFS filesystem. You need to create an HFS+ partition.

Or, you can use Disk Copy to make a disk image, format that as HFS+ and then install Classic on that. Make sure you also install your classic applications on the disk image or they won't run either.

In general avoid the Unix file system. If you have some special Unix application that requires its features, consider seeing if you can't have a separate partition that you then mount. If you don't know what that means you ought not be installing the Unix File System.

Thanx for the quick replies and valued information!
