After days of dicking around with a non-working Apache webserver, trying out all manner of fixes and re-installs, it's come to my conclusion that there is maybe an easier method to get it working again.

That is un-install Mac OS X 10.1 then re-install from the Disc.

All my non-freeware programs are running in classic, and if I transfer all my important files to OS 9 what could go wrong?

Or, alternatively, can I just re-install Mac OS X over the top of the mess I've got?

And, er, how would I go about un-installing OS X?

Documentation of the problems I have been having (a long and not so rivetting read) here....

I don't happen to have a spare US $150 at the mo for computer upgrades.

Wish I did, if it would be the easy solution.

10.2 for $50

That $50 price expired Dec.31. But there are similar deals out there for Jaguar. Not sure where, but I saw some before the year ended. Maybe they were trying to get rid of their stock before 2003.

Cheapest online shop for the Netherlands would charge me about $US 165.

I may be able to get it cheaper from an international source, but er, that wasn't really the point of this thread.

Doesn't anyone actually know how to remove Mac OS X from their system?
