I finally broke down & bought 10.2 Jaguar for my beloved Pismo (400 Mhz, 512 MB Ram, 10 GB HD). Unfortunatley, I have been unable to install it because the updater can't see my hard drive!

There is no drive with an exclamation mark (like others have said), there is nothing, no drive at all. Here are the facts:

*I have 4 GB available on drive.
*The drive is not partitioned
*I am currently running OS X 10.1.5 & have 9.1 installed
*no accessories plugged into powerbook during install

The disk utility can see the drive and everything is OK when I run the repair utility...why wont the HD appear? What am I doing wrong, or what do I need to do to get the drive to show up? I've seen some similar posts to this, but they all deal with things like SCSI cards or older PB than mine (i.e. 8 MB partition). I cant find any threads that seem to help.

Thanks for any help in advance.
