I need to install an Open Source GIS software called Grass http://grass.itc.it/

I can get it there http://openosx.com/grass/index.html

but I need to buy it when I can get it for free.

I need to install with it Xfree 86, NVIZ, PostgreSQL, Unix ODBC, XDarwin, OroborOSX, Mesa, Tcl/Tk, FFTW and GDAL.

I want to know how to proceed to enable to put it in Orobor and let it run in OS X.

I don't know anything in the process.

I can't use fink because it's not available in the softwares lists diplayed :-( Is there a way to compile the source in fink from an already downloaded source code ?

XFree86 is part of XDarwin, the link to which I gave you in the other thread on this. If you install it and OrobosX you have a full Xwindows system for everything but KDE or Gnome.


Most of the other stuff you get from Fink. I gave you the link to that as well. What you do is download the main link system (10meg) and then it downloads the rest of the software for you. If you go to the web page I gave you it has detailed instructions on how to get up and running.
