Hi,

I purchased a .Mac account and thought it would be a 'good idea' to backup my data, as I have a fast broadband connection.

However, I was wrong. Not only is iDisk painfully slow but Backup keeps reporting that it can't find the server, about 25% or so in to backing up my files! :-/

Suppose it would be quicker to back up to CD-R.

Chris.

I have seen a lot of people post that .mac has been spotty, but I have only experienced 2 outages, one was a big one that was reported and the other was corrected by reconnecting.

Other than that, has been reliable for me.
