iSub not muted when pro speakers are?

I have a a 1.25 MDD using pro speakers and an isub.
When I am listening to an mp3 via itunes and then I hit mute on the
keyboard, the pro speakers mute but the isub still plays on.

Feature or bug?

It's not anoying, I'm just curious.

You have to select the mute checkbox in the sound control panel. It's stupid I know.
