Many people were surprised about the November portable lineup. At an hour into the keynote, they have exceeded my expectations again. The iApps are free (except iDVD), and look to be much better, with features everybody was asking for. We got a web browser so far. This has exceeded my expectations for this expo, and I'm happy.

I just hope my new PowerBook isn't made obsolete!

Regards,
Ben

Agreed -- quite good so far. I just hope that there is some hardware to go with the impressive software we are seeing.

I've made a vow never to read rumor sites again. I'm loving everything, especially new versions of iMovie and iDVD.

Isn't that what you should have been doing anyway?

Best in a LONG long time... Nice to see Apple blow us away with some software AND hardware. (not only if they could get the G4 over the 1.5 mark or get the IBM chips out sooner then next year...

I'm amazed how well Safari works!

I agree 100%. Steve and his engineers deserve a big tap on the shoulder! This MW is what all the whiners deserved. Apple can still suprise us. It's nice to be a Mac user. Has been and still is.

Yep, can't wait to make a movie now. Safari rocks, the portables rock. With laptops like this, Apple either thinks they will garner all the sales and keep Apple afloat with slow pMacs this year (year of the notebook) or this bodes well for the desktops as features, price and performance should make us happy.
