hey

someone sent me a list of contacts, but not in "vcards"--it's in a "comma seperated file" or something---a ".csv"

does anyone know the cleanest, easiest way to get this into address book? i tried importing into entourage, but it made a mess of it. (and address book doesn't seem to import .csv's)

thanks

that doesn't seem to do it....it say's to paste the CSV file to the box, then click the #2 tab. nothing happens after doing that.

Does anyone know of a 3rd party application that should take care of this? With all those "switchers" out there, I would imagine that there has to be something.

can you drop that .csv into Excel or whatever office app you have that supports csv - then save it or export it as a more useable format?

Indeed - Entourage lets you import a tab or comma seperated file. Then you can drag the contacts from your address book onto the desktop and it saves them as .vcf files.

One catch - obviously you have to have Office !!! Is there a MS Office X demo you could use temporarily?
Computer thez nohhh...
