Hi,

I am totally new to X and would like to see what it can do on this PB 867.
I know some UNIX, though used it so long ago (with a NeXT machine!) that I need refreshing.
How do I use openMotif, Gimp, etc? Is there a tutorial site to look at?

Well, start by downloading the following:

X11: http://www.apple.com/macosx/x11/ (don't forget the SDK as well - you'll need it)
Fink: http://fink.sourceforge.net/ (OS X package manager - lots of good documentation and FAQs as well)
FinkCommander: GUI for Fink (don't know the link - check VersionTracker)

Good luck! Things are getting so easy on this front now...
