How 2 get Chimera to show .jpg/.mpg inline?

Sorry for the novice questions, but I've just downloaded Chimera...10.1.5 so no Safari, but I can't get it to show me images or quicktime inline? What's the deal?

All i get is code...on the dreaded IE it worked fine when I clicked on a .jpg or .mpg link.

Do I have to reinstall Quicktime?
