Speaking of web site downtime ... Apple's homepage is down (8 January '03 7:50 PM PST). You can access the rest of the site, but www.apple.com gets a "page not found" page. (Okay, so maybe it's not "man bites dog" ...)
It works fine for me, it's 8/1/03 11:07 PM EST (8:07 PM PST). I noticed there's a new link to "see the new ads" at the right side of the screen, I'm sure that was just added when the site was down for you.
