I've just put the finishing touches on my Web-based Chimera -> Safari bookmark file converter, which I'm calling Howdah. This is an alpha release, so I need people to bang around on it.

This release supports basic bookmark conversion, as well as folders and the Bookmarks toolbar. Tab groups are converted as folders (until Safari gets tabs and tab groups, or something analogous to them, this is the best that can be done).

Again, this is an alpha release. It doesn't touch your Chimera bookmarks file (it works on a copy), but you might want to back up your Safari Bookmarks.plist file before you use this.

Oh, I saw it. It seems Waferbaby and I developed our respective converters at the same time.

Howdah does folders and the Bookmarks Toolbar. At the moment, Waferbaby's converter does not. So I thought this might merit another thread.

But I suppose you have a point. OK; I'll close this and re-announce in the other thread.
