Hi,
A while back, I was having a problem with my TiPB and created a System_Bak folder to back my self up. I'd now like to delete it since it's eating up over 500MB. The machine isn't letting me put it in the trash saying I can't because it's owned by the root. How can I get around this. I do have Admin privileges on this machine, it's mine after all.
TIA

Go in the Terminal and type
sudo rm -R
followed by the path to your folder. It will then ask for your account password.
Be careful though, you can do some pretty nasty stuff with the sudo command...

If you don't want to use the command line, get info on the folder you want to delete, and under Ownership and Privileges, you can set yourself to the owner (it will ask for your password). Then, you should be able to delete it normally using the Trash.

That is the safest way to do it (and easiest). It's also one of the most overlooked features in Mac OS X (being able to change owners without terminal).

Apple needs to implement a Execute Command as Root (maybe control+action).
In vino veritas.
