When I try to use fink to install a program I get this error while configure is running its checks:

configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot create executables.
also:

./configure: cannot create temp file for here document: Bad file descriptor

I tried running /Developer/Tools/uninstall-devtools.pl and reinstalling the December Dev Tools... but I still get this error.

This just started randomly... Eh.

Followup: The drive was b0rk3d. I ran DiskWarrior 2.1.1 in OS9 for about... 35 hours... and all better. I'm a happy compiler again
